Rangers star Todd Cantwell has criticised VAR for failing to notice a dangerous incident in the Scottish Premiership win over Livingston.
Todd Cantwell has taken to Instagram to highlight the incident, which saw the 26-year-old Rangers substitute receive his sixth yellow card of the season so far.
Whilst the playmaker continues to be criticised for picking up needless bookings, on closer inspection there is some potentially serious foul play by young full-back James Penrice.
The Livingston defender appears to shove his foot into the ankle of Todd Cantwell in the incident and the Rangers star has criticised VAR for failing to pick it up.
Taking to the Instagram stories section of the social media platform on 13/11/23, Todd Cantwell shared a series of images relating to the incident and said:"Didn't get checked.
For context I get booked here, not even looked at.
If I didn't pull my leg away we wouldn't be the most worried about it not being looked at.
"Todd Cantwell criticises VAR after latest booking In a furious Instagram message, it appears that Todd Cantwell believes he might've suffered a serious injury had he not pulled his leg away from James Penrice's challenge and VAR has missed it.
VAR has been at the centre of the fall-out from Rangers' Scottish Premiership victory over Livingston with the technology being employed throughout the game.
MORE RANGERS STORIESRangers had two goals disallowed at the Tony Macaroni Arena whilst the club were also awarded two penalties in the match, with first-time starter Ross McCausland in the thick of the action.
But for Todd Cantwell, VAR has failed to protect him in this instance and as the player's booking tally continues to mount, perhaps the Rangers star has been hard done-by here.
Rangers manager Philippe Clement has also been giving his two cents on VAR after the win at Livingston.
