Motherwell captain Liam Kelly isn't worried that Lennon Miller's red card in Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Livingston will affect him and reckons he will bounce back.
Miller's red card in first-half stoppage time was a pivotal moment at the Tony Macaroni Arena, which led to Bruce Anderson blasting the Lions ahead before Liam's older brother Sean netted a clinching penalty in 62 minutes, following a foul by Bevis Mugabi.
The dismissal was Miller's first in the 17-year-old's fledgling career, but Kelly says he will recover.
"He's got a wise head on his shoulders, so he will be absolutely fine.
"We all love him, we've got so much faith in him as a player, and it's going to happen in his career, this is just the first time it has.
"He was absolutely gutted, but he knows that's part and parcel of football.
"We were hoping to bail him out, but we didn't, and there were people who made mistakes for the goals after it, and we got punished.
Motherwell captain Liam Kelly "Lennon's mistake wasn't the only mistake we made in the game, we made loads, myself included.
"Kelly added: "I actually think Lennon is trying to get out the road of him, it's a running pattern, and they meet," said Kelly.
"By the letter of the law it's a red card, but it should never have got to that point, and we end up losing one of our best players in the team.
"We miss him for the next game, which is pretty rubbish as well, because we lost that game because we went down to 10 men - why's that not enough?More sports news from across Lanarkshire Ryan One make Sheffield move EK boss: Ex-Gers youth 'really gifted' Diamonds will 'attack the Championship' Karate kids medal at Youth Cup "We then lose him for another game, which is quite a terrible rule, when it's just like a running pattern.
"We're really disappointed.
We didn't do enough to win the game, lost our shape at a few key points in the game, the red card being one of them.
"I think how quickly Livingston scored at the start of the second half means we had to open up again a wee bit more, and there was more space for them.
Livingston's Sean Kelly scores a penalty past brother Liam to make it 2-0 "Ideally, we wanted to drag the game out as long as we could at 0-0, while maintaining an attacking threat.
"But I have no qualms about the penalty, either, it looked like a clear penalty at the time.
"It was on us, as players.
We made a lot of individual mistakes, lost our shape at key moments, and when you play against Livingston and you do that, you're going to get punished.
"Actually, if you do that anywhere in this league, you'll definitely get punished.
"I'll pick myself up, and we will need to pick ourselves up.
We need to go again, because we've got St Johnstone away after the break.
"Hopefully we'll get back to good habits after the international break.
