Hellas Verona may have to sell winger Cyril Ngonge due to financial concerns
Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Ngonge, with Fiorentina also keen on the player
Ngonge has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League, with Arsenal being a dream destination
Aston Villa and Serie A side Fiorentina are both eyeing a move for Hellas Verona winger Cyril Ngonge as financial troubles at the Italian club could force them to sell. The Midlands club is emerging as contenders in the Premier League this season and their strong position allows them to consider making moves for players like Ngonge.
Fiorentina has been monitoring Ngonge since last summer but they are wary of competition from Aston Villa. Financial concerns mean that Verona might be forced into selling some of their top stars, including former Belgium youth international defender Isak Hien who was recently signed by Atalanta.
Ngonge's performances for various clubs have attracted interest from bigger teams and he himself has expressed his ambition of playing in the Premier League, particularly expressing an interest in joining Arsenal. With several goals and assists already under his belt this season, it is no surprise that there is significant interest surrounding him.
Villa's current success puts them in a good position financially which means they would comfortably meet any asking price set by Verona if they decide to make an offer for Ngonoge. It remains unclear where Ngonoge will end up next but one thing seems certain there will be plenty of suitors vying for his signature come January transfer window time.
