The latest attacking exploits on the part of Girona star Miguel Gutierrez have secured for the defender a place in the recent history books of Spain's top-flight.

Girona marked their return to action a short time ago, playing host to Leganes in a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, the Catalans emerged on the right side of a seven-goal thriller, to make it three wins in four across all competitions.

And the aforementioned Gutierrez, for his part, played a starring role.

Featuring from the off from his customary berth at left-back, the Spaniard opened the scoring in the clash, before laying on an assist, too.

And, as alluded to above, in the process, Gutierrez joined a head-turning individual club.
