A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is on the verge of a departure from the club.
That's according to French football insider Santi Aouna, who points towards Mikayil Faye as the player in question.
Speculation surrounding the future of stopper Faye has ramped up in Catalunya's capital over the course of the last 24 hours.
This comes after word was forthcoming that, after the Senegalese failed to impress new Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick in pre-season, the definitive decision was made to sanction his sale.
And, as alluded to above, precisely as much now appears to be on the cards.
As per a report from the aforementioned Santi Aouna: 'Rennes and FC Barcelona are close to an agreement for Mikayil Faye.
'The deal in question would see Barcelona secure an initial sum of EUR10 million, followed by a further EUR5 million in bonuses.
With an agreement yet to be struck with Faye himself, though, a number of other clubs are continuing to keep a close eye on the situation, too.
