-- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Athlete of the Week award winners for football, volleyball, and soccer on Monday.

Student-athletes from Augsburg, Carleton, Concordia, Gustavus, and St.

Olaf claimed the Conference's weekly honors.

The MIAC Athlete of the Week awards are nominated by the Conference's sports information directors and selected by MIAC staff.

Throughout the fall season, team sports (football, soccer and volleyball) Athletes of the Week will be recognized on Monday afternoons, with individual sports (cross country and golf) announced on Tuesday afternoons.

The winners of the latest Athlete of the Week awards are listed below, along with details on their outstanding performances.

| MayoCade Sheehan accounted for seven touchdowns in the Auggies' 56-36 victory over St.

Olaf on 10/21.

Sheehan rushed 17 times for 77 yards and three first-half touchdowns and finished the game 20-of-24 passing with 218 yards and four touchdowns through the air.

His rushing numbers are all season-highs, while his completion percentage of 83.

3 matched his career-best.

made multiple defensive plays to help the Gusties upset nationally-ranked Saint John's, 38-35, on 10/21.

Lyons made a key tackle at the end of the second quarter to set Gustavus up for a Hail Mary touchdown pass before halftime.

He then made a pair of critical plays in the fourth quarter, breaking up a first-down pass in the end zone and then intercepting the ball at the goal line on the next play from scrimmage with 1:50 left in regulation.

The Gusties' victory was the team's first over Saint John's since 2013 and the third over SJU in the last 35 years.

| Mound-WestonkaAndrew Abegglen had a perfect kicking day for the Gusties in a 38-35 victory over Saint John's on 10/21.

Abegglen went 5-for-5 on extra point tries with a 26-yard field goal against the Johnnies, and broke the 25-year-old program kicking record with his first third quarter extra point conversion.

Abegglen surpassed Ryan Boutwell in the Gustavus record book for most kicking points, now sitting at 202 for his career.

| Dilworth-Glyndon-FeltonMallory Leitner led the Cobbers in kills in a pair of key MIAC wins over the weekend.

Leitner had 19 kills and hit a career-best.

429 in the team's win over Bethel on 10/20 and then had 12 kills and hit.

258 in the sweep over Augsburg on 10/21.

Leitner totaled 31 kills and hit.

356 in 73 total attacks for the weekend and has now posted a double-digit kill total in five of the team's last six MIAC matches.

| CenturyKaia Lill recorded a career-high 58 assists in the Cobbers' five-set win over Bethel on 10/20 and then led the offense in a sweep over Augsburg on 10/21.

Lill's ability to get the ball to the Concordia frontline attackers helped produce a.

300 attack percentage, which was the team's best mark in conference play this season.

The 58 assists against the Royals marked the second time this season, and fifth in her career, that she has eclipsed the 50-assist mark.

| MidfielderBrest, Finistere, France | University of Western BrittanyVictor Gaulmin tallied three goals and one assist in two Ole victories last week.

Gaulmin accounted for both goals in a 2-0 win over regionally-ranked UW-Platteville on 10/17.

He then helped St.

Olaf overcome a 2-0 halftime deficit with a four-goal second half in a 4-2 win at Saint John's on 10/21, assisting on the team's first goal in the 55th minute before scoring the tying goal just over a minute later.

Daniel Linder notched two more clean sheets this week, giving him a conference-best nine shutouts on the season.

Linder turned aside all six Augsburg shots on 10/17, blanking a team that has scored a MIAC-leading 50 goals this season.

With another shutout versus Saint Mary's on 10/21, Linder lowered his season goals against average to a MIAC and NCAA Division III-best 0.

| ForwardKuna, IdahoJayla Ponce had a nine-point week for the Auggies with four goals and one assist in a pair of victories.

Ponce claimed her first career hat trick with a three-goal, one-assist performance in Augsburg's 5-0 win over UW-River Falls on 10/18, then scored the team's second goal in its 2-0 win at St.

Scholastica on 10/21.

MIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the WeekPiper DeanCarleton CollegeJr.

| YorktownPiper Dean tallied a goal and an assist while anchoring a defense that yielded only one score during the Knights' 3-0 week that clinched at least a share of the MIAC regular-season title.

Dean set up the opening goal in Carleton's road win at Wartburg on 10/18 and added a 25-yard strike that provided a key insurance goal.

Her play on the defensive side of the field helped Carleton limit its opponents to only 14 shots in the three games, just seven shots on goal, and only one ball in the back of the net.
