Barcelona Are Hoping To Re-Sign This La Liga Forward On Loan: Should Flick Bring Him Back?
Source:The 4th

In a recent report, Sport revealed that Barcelona are hoping to re-sign Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix.

It has been stated that the Catalan club would have to fend off competition from Benfica and Aston Villa in the race to land the Portugal international this summer.

Felix's Impressive Loan Spell At Barcelona Last Season Felix had a decent loan spell at the Nou Camp in the previous campaign when he produced a string of productive displays for Barca in the final third.

The Portuguese talent participated in 44 matches for the Catalan outfit last season, scoring ten times and picking up six assists across all competitions.

The 24-year-old was a consistent performer in the opponent's half as he averaged 2.

0 shots, 0.

6 key passes and 1.

0 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga.

He was even accurate when distributing the ball after completing 83.

7% of his attempted passes in the top tier of Spanish football (stats via whoscored).

His current deal at his parent club Atletico Madrid will expire in the summer of 2029 which could make it tough for Barca to re-sign him permanently this off-season.

Hence, another loan move makes sense for the Catalan club as they try to improve their squad in this transfer window.

The Portuguese sensation mainly plays as a striker but can also serve as a left-winger if told to do so.

He already proved himself to be a valuable member of Barcelona's squad last season.

Thus, it is a no-brainer for Barca boss Hansi Flick to try and bring Felix back on loan before the end of this transfer window.

The Portuguese attacker has what it takes to help the Catalan giants challenge for some major honours in the upcoming campaign.

With all things considered, Flick would be wise to focus on getting another loan deal done for Felix this summer.
