Micah Richards has shared some behind-the-scenes details on what former Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero was like during training sessions.
Back in the 2011 summer transfer window, City shelled out PS38m to sign the Argentine from Atletico Madrid.
Having seen the striker spend 10 years at the Etihad Stadium, one of Aguero's former City teammates has shed some light on what the centre-forward was like on the training pitch.
He said: "As a player, it was strange because, obviously, he came from Atletico Madrid and we had a preseason tour and everyone was talking about him.
MORE MAN CITY STORIES"The first day in training I'm thinking 'Oh my gosh, Aguero is here, he's going to show me something special, he's going to be the best player by far.
' I looked at him in training and was like what on God's earth have we signed here?"His touch was baggy, he couldn't hold up the ball, his shooting was wayward.
And then he made his debut, oh my God.
I've never seen a player, he was similar to [Carlos] Tevez where [he was] not so great in training but in the game, they flick a switch and turn into something else and was one of the most incredible strikers I'd played with.
"During his time at City, Aguero made 390 appearances across all competitions, scoring 260 goals and winning numerous trophies including five Premier League titles.
This isn't the first time a former City teammate of Aguero's has highlighted how unimpressive the striker used to be in training, as Joe Hart said back in 2014 that he was "useless" on the training pitch but managed to deliver in games.
Taking into account how much of a club legend the 35-year-old is for the Citizens based on the number of goals he scored for them, including the one that landed them their first Premier League title back in 2012, we feel that no City fan will be too concerned about how he performed on the training pitch.
