Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Conor Coady has hailed the character of Pedro Neto to keep on playing for the team, despite having been feeling a problem recently.

Neto was making his 31st Premier League appearance of the season against Fulham on Friday, but was forced from the field after a coming together with Antonee Robinson.

Neto could be seen sporting strapping on his knee when he was getting treatement.

Nuno revealed after the game that the 21-year-old has been carrying an issue since the international break.

Despite this he featured against West Ham United on Monday and came through unscathed, and started on Friday against the Cottagers.

Speaking about his teammate, Coady said (via Wolves official): He had to come off because he was feeling his knee, hes been feeling it for a few weeks and played on it, which is fantastic from his point of view.

It shows his character, but hes a massive player for us and we just hope hes alright.

There has not yet been any word from Nuno Espirito Santo or the club as to how long Neto will be out of action.

Hes been an ever-present for Wolves this season and been the teams star performer, so any absence will be a major blow.

On social media, some fans have actually been questioning why Neto was allowed to play given hes been contending with an issue:

So why start him, Tim? If theyve been trying to manage it then surely he wasnt in a good enough condition to start? Just seems a little naive & reckless.
