3 players who followed in their fathers footsteps

June 17th is the day for father’s up and down the country to be honored.

  • Just like our mothers, our Dads are always there to catch us when we fall, pick us up when we are down and guide us through life with their wisdom.

Many of us dream of making our Dad's proud, after all, they are our biggest supporters and the saying goes.. flattery is the largest form of compliment. So here is a list of footballers who have famous father's and they have decided to follow in their father's footsteps with the hopes of continuing their family legacy on the football pitch.

    1. Paul and Tom Ince
Paul Ince, the former England midfielder and premier league player (Manchester United and Liverpool) has earned 53 international caps during his career and has been given the name ‘Guv'nor of Fleet on foot With all his footballing experience he would be in rights to big up his son, even if he is his Dad and be potentially biased about Tom Ince being as good as Real Madrid's Gareth Bale!

    2. Mark Chamberlain and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Mark Chamberlain the former Stoke City and England player is the father of Alex and he plays for Arsenal and between father and son they have 32 England caps and 6 international goals.

    3. Andy and Devante Cole.
Andy Cole has had quite the career! The former Newcastle United and Manchester United forward has had a career lasting 19 years which has seen him score 290 goals. 5 premier league titles, 2 FA cups and a champions league to his CV. His son Devante has come from a legend and has a lot to live up to. So far he has played for Manchester City, Bradford City and is now with Wigan Athletic.

So happy father's day to all the father's out there you're all legends even if your son isn't a premier league footballer.
