West Ham United are once again being linked with Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

According to Football Transfers, the Hammers are now looking at the 25-year-old as a potential replacement for Vladimir Coufal.

West Ham are reportedly after a new right-back amid an uncertain future for both Coufal and Ben Johnson.

Apparently, the Hammers are "keen to avoid" having to offer the 31-year-old a new contract. His current deal expires in 2024.

The report also claimed that West Ham are trying to tie Johnson down to a new deal but the two parties remain some distance apart.

MORE WEST HAM UNITED STORIES

Better still for the Hammers, Wan-Bissaka finds the prospect of a switch to the London Stadium "more enticing" than a return to Crystal Palace.

The Eagles have also been linked with the player, who came through the ranks at Selhurst Park before joining Man United in 2019.

West Ham could certainly do with bolstering their right-back ranks, and Wan-Bissaka would be a good shout.

He's talented, experienced, fast, hard to get the better of, and is superb defensively.

Former Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer once called the PS100,000-a-week man (Salarysport) "one of the best one-against-one defensive full-backs in the world".

However, Wan-Bissaka hasn't shown to offer quite as much going forward, so that's something David Moyes would have to be mindful of if West Ham made a move.

In addition, it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will part company with him at all, never mind mid-season. He's not exactly surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
