Manchester United players Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will have "sleepless nights" ahead of the game against Everton on 26 November, according to Ronny Goodlass.

Speaking to BBC Radio Merseyside on Thursday (16 November, via BBC Sport), the pundit said a victory against the Red Devils will help put the Toffees on a "good footing" as they look to continue their surge up the Premier League table.

He added that the Blues can "hurt any team" from set-pieces as he called for the Merseysiders to make the most of their opportunities from set-pieces at Goodison Park.

"We need to beat Manchester United at the next home game," said Goodlass. "That'll put us on a good footing and will help to get this home record improved. I can't wait. I think Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and a few others will have sleepless nights.

"If we get the right delivery we can hurt any team and that's what we've got to do. If you win a corner or a free-kick, make the most of it. Crosses make goals."

Put them under pressure

There is no doubt that the current group of Man United players are nowhere near the quality of some of their teams of the past.

The Red Devils have given most sides they have come up against a chance to take points off them this season and it could be the same again at Goodison Park.

The Everton players have to put them under pressure right from the off to get the crowd behind them and make it an uncomfortable afternoon for the visitors.

They have shown in recent weeks that they are more than capable of putting in some top performances after picking up six wins from their past nine games.

Sean Dyche will be desperate to pick up another three points at home, though, as the majority of those victories have come on the road so far this season.

In other Everton news, a billionaire-owned club may have to pay up to PS45million to sign a Toffees star.
