As a player who has spent years of his career playing on the wing, Bernardo Silva is perhaps one of the best possible candidates to have his say on any wide player Manchester City sign.
In the summer of 2024, Savinho was the winger City added to their disposal - who made his debut for his new club against Manchester United in the FA Community Shield.
Fernandinho congratulated Savinho on social media, commenting "first of many" to his post where he is celebrating winning the trophy as City defeated United on penalties.
The 20-year-old was given a few instructions by Pep Guardiola before he was sent out to impact the game on Saturday.
After the contest, Guardiola hailed Savinho, claiming his accurate crossing could help Erling Haaland add to his goalscoring tally.
Bernardo hails "very quick" Savinho after Man City defeated Manchester United Considering the former ESTAC Troyes winger is yet to play for a club of Manchester City's stature in his career, a better idea of how he could fare in the upcoming season could emerge in his first few starts.
It will be interesting to see whether much like Jeremy Doku, Savinho looks the part from day one or whether he struggles in his debut season at the Etihad Stadium like wingers tend to under Pep Guardiola.
Regardless of however his fate is aligned for the 2024/2025 campaign, it seems like the Sky Blues have signed a top talent.
Bernardo certainly thinks so, as he gave a brief description of the player and the character that Savinho is after Manchester City beat Manchester United in the Community Shield.

Bernardo told the club's official in-house media: "Very quick and very unbalancing. He's also a good lad who wants to work and learn. We're very happy that he is at City with us."
Savinho signing could mean Bernardo Silva rarely plays as a right-winger Alongside Oscar Bobb, it seems like Savinho will be Pep Guardiola's first-choice on the right flank; a position Bernardo played for much of last season.
But due to the Brazilian's addition to the squad, it seems like the PS300,000-a-week man will largely play in midfield.
Based on how much Bernardo rates Savinho, he will likely be satisfied to see him starting on the wing.
It will be interesting to see if Pep Guardiola does revert to playing the Portuguese international out wide against the top sides, however, especially in the Champions League.
