It seems as though Manchester City can't enjoy a fully fit squad for five minutes before an affliction strikes them again.

Manchester City welcomed Erling Haaland back to the fold on Sunday in the 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest after being without the striker for two matches.

The Norwegian suffered a slight knock but scored on his return from off the bench and is eager to get back into the starting XI.

Haaland said, via the Manchester Evening News: "I'm ready.

"I had a bit of a problem and it's not nice to bounce back when we went out to Madrid in the Champions League.

"It's been scratching inside of me to get back and now I'm back and feeling good. I'm ready to attack the last five finals."
