UEFA will grant Manchester City a staggering eight-figure cash boost before Pep Guardiola's side kick a ball in next season's Champions League, according to reports.
The latest information concerning next season's tournament emerges just weeks after UEFA finalised the brand new format of the competition, that will see both the removal of the traditional group stage format and drawing process.
As confirmed earlier this month, teams will play eight matches in a new league phase, facing fixtures against eight different teams, and playing half of those matches at home and the other half of them away.
As part of the reformed UEFA Champions League, clubs have now also received information about just how much money they can receive in competition prize money, with the Etihad Stadium club boosted by a fee that they will earn without even kicking a ball.
According to the information of The Sun's Martin Lipton, Manchester City will earn themselves a guaranteed PS53 million in next season's UEFA Champions League, before even kicking a ball in the competition.
It is detailed that the reigning Premier League champions will be able to land a staggering PS133.5 million if they win every game in the tournament - rising from the PS117 million figure they earned through last season's Champions League triumph.
The big-money payments may not stop there, with Pep Guardiola's side having the opportunity to add an extra PS3.67 million if they retain their Champions League crown at Wembley Stadium in June, and then the UEFA Super Cup.
City remain in the hunt for the retaining of their European crown this season, as they progressed past Danish club FC Copenhagen in the last-16 phase of the competition, following on from a successful group phase against RB Leipzig, Crvena zvezda, and BSC Young Boys.
Up next for the reigning Treble winners, Manchester City will take on Spanish giants Real Madrid across two-legs in the competition, travelling to the Santiago Bernabeu for the first-leg, before welcoming Carlo Ancelotti's side to the Etihad Stadium a week later.
