Arsenal could accept offers for three home-grown stars to fund a move for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes this summer.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O'Rourke revealed selling the likes of academy products and fans favourites Emile Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah would allow Arsenal to make a pure profit.

That could potentially go a long way towards raising the cash to activate 26-year-old Guimaraes's PS100million release clause, which is set to expire at the end of June.

O'Rourke admitted the Gunners may not have the funds at their disposal to get the deal done for the Brazilian international so early in the transfer window, meaning player sales could be necessary.

Football Insider revealed on 5 May the North London club are ready to sell Gabriel Jesus after he's faced injury problems at the Emirates this season.

He's registered six goals and six assists in 34 Premier League games this season while averaging 2.4 tackles per outing after winning 56 per cent of his duels.

O'Rourke admitted it would be an "exciting prospect" for the Gunners fans to see Guimaraes line up in the middle of the park alongside Declan Rice.

Arsenal But Emirates chiefs may have to sanction moves for some of the club's academy products if they are to raise the capital to sign the midfielder.

Although Smith Rowe, Nelson and Nketiah have all been on the fringes of the first team again this season, they could all potentially command reasonable transfer fees due to their potential.
