Arsenal could sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen this summer, as per the transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

After moving to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona from LOSC Lille back in 2020, the 25-year-old has already established himself as one of the best strikers in Serie A over the last few years, helping his side win the Scudetto last term.

However, it has been suggested that having showcased his qualities in the Italian top-flight, the Nigerian is keen on leaving the Azzurri at the end of this season to take a new challenge in his career.

Now, speaking on Sky Sports Italy(via Calcio Napoli 24), Di Marzio has reported that Arsenal are interested in Osimhen and they could sign him this summer. The journalist further claims that the Napoli star is keen on moving to England so he could be open to moving to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

However, Di Marzio states that Chelsea are also plotting a swoop for Osimhen and they have already opened talks with the Azzurri to secure the deal. So, Arsenal are set to face tough competition from their city rivals in getting any potential deal done for him. The journalist also says that PSG could be interested in the Nigerian but the forward isn't willing to move back to France having already played for Lille previously.

Osimhen to Arsenal It is an open secret that the Gunners are prioritising strengthening their frontline by signing a new prolific goal-scorer this summer. A plethora of strikers have already been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium over the last few weeks with Ivan Toney, Joshua Zirkzee and Viktor Gyokeres being among them, but Osimhen is reportedly on their radar as well.

The Napoli star reportedly has a release clause worth around PS113m included in his current contract and the Azzurri have previously shown that they like to play hardball to sell their assets. So, Arsenal will have to break the bank to lure the striker to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Osimhen is a top-class forward and is deemed one of the best in the world at the moment. So, he would be a great coup for Arsenal if they eventually manage to secure his signature in the upcoming transfer window to reinforce their frontline.
