Aaron Ramsdale is set to leave Arsenal this summer after losing his place in the starting lineup, sources have told Football Insider.

The Gunners are expected to finalise the permanent transfer of David Raya, with a full agreement in place, after spending this season on loan at the Emirates from Brentford.

Ramsdale, 25, has spent the vast majority of the campaign warming the bench after being restricted to just a handful of Premier League and cup appearances.

Football Insider previously revealed London rivals Chelsea could move for the England international this summer as they look to sign a new goalkeeper.

Aaron Ramsdale to leave Arsenal after David Raya update It's increasingly likely Ramsdale will leave Arsenal once the transfer window reopens as he wants to play more regular first-team football.

The keeper had been the undoubted number one at the Emirates for a couple of seasons following his PS30million signing from Sheffield United in 2021.

But the arrival of Raya last summer spelt bad news for the Englishman and he's seen his minutes significantly reduced during this campaign.

Ramsdale has kept three clean sheets in his 12 appearances, while the 28-year-old Raya has recorded 19 shut-outs in 39 outings.

Those numbers don't provide great reading for Ramsdale and it's now expected he will move on at the end of the season.

The shot-stopper could prove a decent option for most Premier League clubs, with Chelsea keen to shore things up at the back after conceding 59 goals this season.
