Oleksandr Zinchenko has arguably become a victim of his own success after helping elevate Arsenal into Premier League title contention during his two years at the Emirates.

Along with Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko more than played his part in driving standards up at the Emirates following his PS30 million move from Manchester City.

Zinchenko was never quite able to establish himself as a superstar at the Etihad Stadium, and it now seems that he may soon find himself in a similar situation at Arsenal.

According to journalist Kaya Kaynak, writing for Football London, the Ukrainian is one player Arsenal would be open to considering bids for when the summer transfer window opens.

Arsenal open to offers for Oleksandr Zinchenko Zinchenko has been an unused substitute in three of the last four Premier League games, and Kaynak suggested that Arsenal do not plan to stand in his way if a suitable bid comes in this summer.

"There are plenty of players who Arsenal would be open to offers on this summer. With two years left on his deal and at 27-years-of-age, Zinchenko falls into that bracket," he wrote.

What defender's situation highlights about the Gunners Zinchenko's situation arguably highlights what a remarkable rise it has been for Arsenal over the last two years.

When the 27-year-old arrived, the Gunners had just finished fifth in the Premier League and there appeared to be a huge question mark over how they would respond to missing out on Champions League football at the last hurdle.

Signing Jesus and Zinchenko were inspired moves, but few would have imagined that those deals would help almost immediately put Arsenal into title contention.

Arsenal are now in a position where they do not need Zinchenko and Jesus to play prominent roles, and thus, it may be best for all parties if they can find a buyer for the versatile defender this summer.
