It's been said for a long time that Arsenal need a new striker.

Despite being the highest-scoring team in the Premier League, there's still plenty of chat about Arsenal needing a new number nine who is more prolific.

Arsenal will be in the market for a new centre-forward this summer, and speaking on KS1TV, Steve Kay has named who he believes to be the two strikers most likely to join the Gunners this summer.

"Sesko and Gyokeres with Havertz could be the way they go. Gyokeres is still high on the list, he's way up there. The two players I've done multiple articles about are Gyorekes and Sesko, going back quite a while now," Kay said.

"Recently you've had Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano come out and mention the same two players. That's the two. It could be a smokescreen for someone else, but with Gyokeres and Sesko everything is aligning.

"I was told something months ago on those two and I was sticking with that. Forget Isak, forget Osimhen, forget Toney, these are the two. They have been scouting these two for a long time now Arsenal, they've been watching them and watching them and watching them."

Sesko and Gyokeres are both risky options Sesko or Gyokeres could soon be new Arsenal players, but they'd both represent risky options for the Gunners.

Neither player is proven at Premier League level, and there's little evidence to suggest that they're up to the task of challenging at the very top echelon of Champions League football.

Gyokeres has had just one good season in a top league, while Sesko has only actually scored 12 goals in the Bundesliga this season.

Neither player has a world-class CV, and Arsenal wouldn't be buying a proven commodity here if they signed either of these strikers.
