Bukayo Saka has insisted Arsenal will not stop fighting as their thrilling Premier League title race against Manchester City takes a fresh twist. The Gunners beat Bournemouth 3-0 to go four points clear at the top of the table, if only for a few hours, with the reigning champions aiming to close that gap back down to one with a victory at home to Wolves on Saturday evening.

After a tense first 40 minutes, Saka eventually gave Arsenal the lead from the penalty spot after a foul by Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers on Kai Havertz. Leandro Trossard and Declan Rice were also on target later on in the game to cap off a superb afternoon for the Gunners.

Despite no goals arriving in the first half, there was a huge talking point involving Saka. The 22-year-old was on the receiving end of a challenge from Cherries player Lewis Cook just before the 15-minute mark. Ryan Christie then followed up with a high tackle which left Saka with a cut on his shin.

Ultimately, the decision did not impact the final score however Arteta was still asked for his verdict on a number of incidents including the one involving Saka. "The honest answer is I haven't seen any of the incidents because I knew you were going to ask me. I did it on purpose," he said.

"The analysts said do you want to watch it and I said no because then I can tell the truth. I haven't seen them so I cannot comment or have an impression. The one on David, the foul, I cannot see because it's too far. The one on Bukayo, is it on purpose or not? I don't know so difficult for me to judge."

Nonetheless, Saka was able to continue and score goal number 20 of the season on the way to helping Arsenal to another three points in the title race. With that in mind, Saka has issued a clear warning to Manchester City along with a heartfelt message

On Instagram, alongside a compilation of photos from the game, Saka wrote: "Fighting until the end [red circle emoji] #RIPDaniel." The final part of Saka's caption referenced Daniel Anjorin who was tragically killed in a sword attack in London earlier this week.

As a tribute to the 14-year-old, those in Emirates Stadium held a minute's applause with players from both sets of teams also joining the clapping in a show of solidarity.
